A Letter From The Father

My Precious Child,

Will you hear me above the voices today?

You have so many messages coming at you. So many people telling you about your life - who you are and who you’ll become. Let me speak to your heart and remind you of WHO and WHOSE you are. Receive each truth in your spirit. Chew on each one slowly, feeling the magnitude and weight of each word. We’ll go on this journey together, you and me, of discovering just how wide and deep my love for you truly is!

Jesus and I created you in our own image with our own hands. Everything else in creation was formed with a word, but I took my time with you. I breathed into you the breath of life. You were remarkably and wondrously made in secret; in the depths of the earth. I chose you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. I set you apart before you were born. You weren’t an accident, a mistake, a product of evolution, or a coincidence. I created every single cell in your being. Don’t you know how wonderful I am? I carefully formed every part of you. I make beautiful things and you are the most beautiful thing I’ve ever created.

You’ll never fully know how much I love you. I rejoice over you with gladness! I renew you with my love. I delight over you with a song. I don’t just barely tolerate you; I actually want to spend time with you. If only you knew how much I love you and take care of you!

I’ll continue to promise you this over and over again - though your sins are scarlet and crimson red, I make them as white as snow and wool; white and pure. Can you even comprehend what I’ve done? I can’t even see your sins anymore. They’re farther than the distance from sunrise to sunset - that’s how far I’ve removed your guilt from you! My thoughts for you are precious and lovely. I’m not mad at you and I’m not in a bad mood. When I think about you, I see a perfect, flawless creation because I see my Son’s blood covering you.

My Son is happy to call you His intimate friend. Because He was obedient on the cross, our relationship is restored. There was a time you and I were separated. There was NO way you could be near me. Your sin was simply too great. But by one man’s death and resurrection, we were reconciled. I will give you whatever you ask in my Son’s glorious name, since I chose Him to go into the world and bear fruit - fruit that lasts. Need more wisdom, love, patience, or peace? Ask Him freely and confidently; it’s yours. I am the Farmer. Jesus is the true, sprouting vine. And you, my child, are a branch on this wildly fertile, healthy tree. I lift you up, pruning the fruit you’re bearing as you connect to Jesus’ heart and mission. Abide in this vine and you’ll continue to bear much fruit - fruit that lasts.

My Son chose you and appointed you to bear fruit in my Name. He wants to connect with you through His Spirit every moment of every day. He wants to do this life work alongside you. He is passionately in love with you because He has my thoughts and my Spirit. We want to bless you.

And here’s the BEST news - because of Jesus, you get to make the greatest exchange. Trade your anxiety for my peace. Lay down the broken pieces of your life and pick up my righteousness. Throw off your loneliness and feelings of isolation and come join the incredible family of God! You’re no longer an orphan; I’ve happily adopted you into my family. Your faith in Jesus gives you permanent access and a key of your own! There’s absolutely nothing you could do to cut the cord on my love for you. We can never be separated again. There’s nothing you have to do or add to the blood of Jesus; it’s already been done for you. Simply believe it and let His heart and mind change yours.

You weren’t cheap. I paid the most tremendous price for you - the death of my Son. If I was willing to give Him up, what else wouldn’t I do for you? Don’t let the world fool you; there’s NO other way to get back to me, to get to Heaven, than by believing in faith that Jesus died for you and rose from the grave 3 days later, severing the grip death once had on you.

I’ve given you the Spirit of Jesus (the Holy Spirit) as the first installment of your inheritance as my child. He is always with you, always loving you and ministering to your heart, always leading you back to Jesus. Trust Him. Sit with Him. Listen to Him and He will speak to you. The rest of your inheritance is on its way. I’m preparing a room just for you in my house and a white rock with a nickname just for you. I can’t wait for you to see it!

I love you, I love you, I love you,

Your Heavenly Father

I’m so glad you’re here, friend. I’m not sure how you found this post, but I continue to be amazed by the internets. It brings us together in such beautiful ways and reminds us that we’re more alike than different. More united than divided. Whether you spend a minute or an hour on this page, know that Jesus loves you like crazy. Like CRAZY. I’d love to hear how I can pray for you. Would you let me know here?
